At Dyndrite, we are proud to announce a new milestone in our mission to push the boundaries of 3D printing. We’re proud to support Ulendo Technologies, Inc. in introducing Ulendo HC (Heat Compensation), the first add-in software for Dyndrite’s LPBF Pro platform. This groundbreaking tool optimizes laser paths, drastically reducing heat-induced deformation and stress, two major challenges in metal additive manufacturing.

Ulendo HC: Overcoming heat-related issues in metal 3D printing

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) offers tremendous potential for metal 3D printing, but heat-related issues like residual stress and deformation often lead to failed prints, material waste, and extended production times. Traditionally, manufacturers have had to rely on time-consuming "trial and error" to develop effective scan strategies. Ulendo HC revolutionizes this process.

By integrating Ulendo HC into the Dyndrite LPBF Pro platform, users can leverage its advanced laser path optimization algorithm to automatically analyze and adjust the laser path. This reduces mean deformation by 50% and residual stress by 88%, resulting in fewer failed parts, improved quality, and significant cost savings, both in materials and post-processing time.

Seamless Integration with Dyndrite LPBF Pro

By tapping into Dyndrite LPBF Pro’s robust APIs users can simply activate the tool, and the optimization occurs automatically—no extra data entry or steps required. This "plug-and-play" solution eliminates guesswork and streamlines the entire 3D printing workflow.

“Our goal is to empower customers to print new materials, print faster, and achieve more complex features with better surface finishes. Tools like Ulendo HC make it easier to produce high-quality parts, even with challenging designs,” said Dyndrite CEO Harshil Goel. Ulendo will use our powerful core tools to achieve previously difficult prints for our customer base.”

Unlocking Capabilities in Metal 3D Printing

Ulendo’s innovative approach aligns perfectly with Dyndrite’s vision of creating a flexible, scalable solution that enables manufacturers to push the limits of LPBF printing. As the first company to offer an add-in for Dyndrite LPBF Pro, Ulendo is helping unlock new capabilities for our users, allowing them to tackle previously impossible builds.

“Ulendo HC doesn’t just identify heat-related issues,” says Ulendo CEO Brenda Jones, “it provides a solution—without requiring extra steps or data. This efficiency is critical for manufacturers working with expensive materials and complex builds. ”

Real Impact for Manufacturers

Ulendo HC’s benefits are most significant for manufacturers using LPBF printers to produce metal parts from costly materials or those that require extensive post-processing to manage heat-induced stress and deformation. Ulendo HC improves part quality, reduces waste, and increases production reliability. Manufacturers can scale their operations more efficiently and profitably.

Current users of Dyndrite LPBF Pro are encouraged to join Ulendo’s Early Adopter Program to experience firsthand the advantages of this thermal optimization technology.
