Why I Joined Dyndrite - Ben Robinson
With a deep understanding of AM complexities and a passion for automation, I’m here to drive innovation and simplify the path to additive excellence with Dyndrite.
Additive manufacturing (AM) has been more than just a career for me; it’s been a journey of discovering the potential of machines and the software that drives them. Afteryears working closely with various AM machines, I’ve seen firsthand the diverse advantages and disadvantages of different systems. However, getting a build properly ready to print remains a bottleneck in our field. It’s easy to get lost in the weeds of machine capabilities, but the real game-changer is in the software that orchestrates the entire process.
My journey through the AM landscape has been shaped by tackling these complexities head-on. Whether at Blue Origin, where I led efforts to implement production-level processes, or at SLM Solutions, where I trained operators globally, I’ve always been driven by a desire to simplify the complicated. The more I’ve delved into the nuances of AM, the more I’ve realized that perfecting the laser instructions is not just key to unlocking the full potential of these machines but essential for consistently producing high-quality parts.
Dyndrite stands out in a crowded field, not just by addressing the obvious issues but by tackling the subtle, intricate problems that most others overlook. And it does all this with logic, math, and most importantly, automation.
When I am not focused on manufacturing, I explore with my family, play basketball, bake, or simply walk the dogs.
My vision for the future of manufacturing is one where users can effortlessly select inputs, generate files ready to build, and receive a part with confidence in its final material properties—for every geometry. It’s a vision that I believe Dyndrite is uniquely positioned to realize, and I’m thrilled to be part of that journey.
